STEINS;GATE is the second collaborative work between 5pb and Nitroplus with a science-fiction/adventure theme. Released in October 2009 for the Xbox 360, it won the highest Famitsu Award. Later, the game was available for PC and PSP, accompanied by spin-off video games, character songs, and drama CDs. The series has sold over 100,000 copies. An anime adaptation premiered in April 2011 and has gained increasing popularity. The story of STEINS;GATE delves into a unique perspective on time travel referred to as a "hypothetical science adventure," drawing inspiration from real scientific concepts for an intellectually stimulating experience.

- Story

Rintato Okabe, also known as "Okarin," is a university student afflicted with what he calls second-grade syndrome. He fancies himself as a mad scientist under the alias "Kyoma Hououin," operating from his "Future Gadget Laboratory" where he experiments with two associates. Their accidental creation of a "time machine" capable of sending texts to the past sets off a chain of events involving SERN, John Titor, an antique computer "IBN5100," time travel theories, and the butterfly effect. As these elements converge, Akihabara becomes the focal point of a global-scale event. Tasked with determining the future's course, what choices will Okarin make?
